The Wind that Shakes the Barley

Film Review

The film was recently released in UK cinemas and its called the wind that shakes the Barley. British film-maker Ken Loach won the Palme d'Or at Cannes with his movie The Wind That Shakes The Barley, which recalls the Irish civil war. June 2006

The film recounts the early days of the Irish Republican Army in the 1920s and the struggle for independence from Britain.

If you ever look at a map of Ireland it resembles a teddy bear sitting down. The Teddy Bear's Head is the province of Ulster.
