Radio

Volunteers on the Arsenal Project conducted radio interviews with local residents in the Islington borough throughout the autumn of 2006. With guidance and tuition from our freelance radio professional, volunteers were able to edit their recordings using Cool Edit Pro and produce slick, radio standard interviews.

An example of one volunteer’s work can be heard on this webpage. Joanna Ing interviewed Eric and Sid of the Finsbury Park History Museum in November 2006 and the stories she recorded were rather unexpected. Eric and Sid recall various nostalgic memories and talk about everything from axe-wielding Italians to fighting vicars and Irishmen.
